The Secretariat of the General People’s Congress

Upon review of:

  • Law No. (1) of 1369 FDP on People’s Congresses and People’s Committees, and its executive regulation;
  • Law No. (55) of 1976 on issuing the Civil Service Law, and its executive regulation;
  • Law No. (13) of 1980 on social security;
  • Law No. (15) of 1981 on the system of wages for national workers in the Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya;
  • Law No. (2) of 1369 FDP on organising political and consular work;
  • General People’s Congress Resolution No. (8) of 1989 AD on organising the activity of agencies, institutions, and companies abroad;
  • General People’s Committee Decree on the rules of transporting members of political and consular circles to work through missions abroad, issued on 16/11/1978 AD;
  • General People’s Committee Decree No. (129) of 1988 AD on the regulation for workers abroad;
  • The minutes of the Secretariat of the General People’s Congress meeting No. (16) of 1369 FDP;

has resolved:

Article (1)

The provisions of the executive regulation of Law No. (2) of 1369 FDP on organising political and consular work attached to this resolution shall enter into force.

Article (2)

General People’s Committee Decree No. (129) of 1988 on the regulation of workers abroad shall be repealed, as shall any ruling that violates the provisions of this resolution.

Article (3)

This decree shall enter into force from its date of issuance and it shall be published in the Legal Register.
