on extending the time period for selecting the Acting Prime Minister

The General National Congress

Upon review of:

  • The Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011, and the amendments thereof;
  • The rules of procedure of the General National Congress;
  • General National Congress Resolution No. (23/2014) on withdrawing confidence from the Acting Prime Minister;
  • The vote in Ordinary Session No. (179) of the General National Congress held on Tuesday, 25 Jumada al-Oula 1435 AH, corresponding to 25/03/2014;

issued the following resolution:

Article (1)

The agreed time period for selection of a new Acting Prime Minister shall be extended for two weeks starting from 25 Jumada al-Oula 1435 AH, corresponding to 26/03/2014.

Article (2)

This resolution shall enter into force from its date of issuance, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette and the available media.
