The General National Congress

Upon review of:

  • The Interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011, and the amendments thereof;
  • General National Congress Resolution No. (62) of 2013 on adopting the amendment of the rules of procedure of the General National Congress;
  • General National Congress Resolution No. (73) of 2013 on mandating some powers to the President of the General National Congress;
  • The conclusions of the General National Congress in its 137th ordinary session held on Sunday, 13/11/2013;

issued the following resolution:

Article (1)

The aforementioned General National Congress Resolution No. (73) of 2013 shall be repealed.

Article (2)

A special committee composed of members of the General National Congress shall be formed by a resolution issued by the General National Congress. It shall be responsible for submitting a proposal containing the situations and issues that the General National Congress may delegate to its President to take decisions in accordance with the Interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 03/08/2011 and the amendments thereof and relevant legislation in force.

Article (3)

The committee shall submit to the General National Congress the results of its activities within seven days from the date of issuance of the resolution appointing its chairman and members.

Article (4)

The provisions of this resolution shall enter into force from its date of issuance on 03/11/2013, and any contrary provision shall be repealed. Each person shall implement it within his mandate.
