Resolution No. (81) of 2013 AD

on lifting parliamentary immunity

The General National Congress,

Upon review of:

• The interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 03 August 2011 AD and amendments thereto;
• General National Congress Resolution No. (62) of 2013 AD on approving the amendment of the Congress’ by-laws;
• His Excellency the Minister of Justice Letter No. (3535) dated 2 September 2013 AD and the memorandum requesting permission to investigate issued by the prosecutor general and attached thereto;
• The conclusions of the General National Congress in its one hundred twenty-seventh ordinary meeting held on Tuesday, 17 September 2013 AD;

issued the following Resolution:

Article (1)

Without prejudice to Article (63) of the by-laws of the General National Congress, parliamentary immunity shall be lifted from the following individuals:

1. Mr. Al-Tawati Hamad Al-Aideh, Member of the General National Congress
2. Mr. Jumaa Al-Sayeh Al-Sueiai, Member of the General National Congress
3. Ms. Hajer Mohammed Faeq, Member of the General National Congress

Article (2)

This Resolution shall enter into force on the date of its issue and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
