Decision No. (52) of 1378 FDP (2010 AD)
on abolishing Tripoli’s specialised courts and prosecutions
The Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies
Upon review of:
- Law No. (6) of 1374 FDP on the justice system;
- Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies Decision No. (29) of 1375 AH on establishing Tripoli’s specialised courts and prosecutions;
- Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies Decision No. (30) of 1375 FDP on establishing a summary juvenile court and prosecution;
- Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies Decision No. (50) of 1378 FDP on establishing summary juvenile courts and one summary juvenile prosecution;
- Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies Decision No. (51) of 1378 FDP on establishing summary traffic courts and prosecutions;
- The proposal of the President of the Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies;
- The minutes of the 6th extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies of 1378 FDP held on 19/07/2010 AD;
has decided:
Article (1)
Tripoli’s specialised courts and prosecutions, established by virtue of Supreme Council of Judicial Bodies Decision No. (29) of 1375 FDP – 2007 AD shall be abolished. The courts and prosecutions subordinate thereto shall also be abolished.
Article (2)
Cases being heard before the specialised courts and prosecutions abolished by virtue of the provisions of this decision shall be referred to the competent court or prosecution according to the case.
Article (3)
The competent authorities shall implement this decision. It shall enter into force from the beginning of the judicial year from 1 September 2010 AD and shall be published in the Register of Procedures.
