Decree No. (91) of 1377 FDP (2009 AD)

on transferring the affiliation of the General Authority for Foreign Media

The General People’s Committee,

Upon review of:

  • Law No. (1) of 1375 FDP on the rules of procedure of the People’s Congresses and the People’s Committees, and the implementing regulations thereof;
  • Law No. (55) of 1976 AD issuing the Civil Service Law, and the implementing regulations thereof;
  • Law No. (15) of 1981 AD on the salary system for national employees of the Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya;
  • General People’s Committee Decree No. (884) of 1375 FDP on establishing the General Authority for Foreign Media;
  • General People’s Congress Decree No. (5) of 1377 FDP on specifying the sectors managed by general people’s committees;
  • General People’s Congress Decree No. (6) of 1377 FDP on specifying the administration of the Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation Sector and the selection of its people’s committee;
  • The decrees issued by the General People’s Committee in its first (bis) ordinary meeting of 1377 FDP;

has decreed:

Article (1)

The affiliation of the General Authority for Foreign Media shall be transferred to the Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation Sector.

Article (2)

This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its issue and shall be implemented by the competent bodies.
