on restructuring the monitoring committee for lifting sanctions and embargoes

on Libyan assets and establishments abroad and determining its functions

The Cabinet,

Upon review of:

  • The Constitutional Declaration;
  • The statement on the Declaration of the Establishment of the National Transitional Council;
  • The rules of procedure of the National Transitional Council;
  • The Law of the Financial System of the State, and the budget, accounts, and stores regulations and amendments thereto;
  • Law No. (1) of 2005 AD on banks;
  • National Transitional Council Decree No. (184) of 2011 AD on approving the transitional government;
  • Executive Bureau President Decree No. (5) of 2011 AD on forming the monitoring committee for lifting sanctions and embargoes on Libyan assets and establishments abroad and determining its functions;
  • The decrees of the Cabinet in its second ordinary meeting of 2011 AD;

has decreed:

Article (1)

The committee monitoring the lifting of the penalties imposed on Libyan assets and establishments abroad shall be restructured, as follows:

  1. First Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman
  2. Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Member
  3. Minister of Finance, Member
  4. Minister of Planning, Member
  5. Minister of Economy, Member
  6. Minister of Oil and Gas, Member
  7. General Manager of Libyan Foreign Bank, Member

Article (2)

This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its issue and any provision that conflicts herewith shall be repealed. The concerned bodies shall implement this Decree and it shall be published in the various media.
