Decree No. (540) of 2013 AD

amending a provision of Decree No. (180) of 2013 AD

on establishing municipalities

The Cabinet,

Upon review of:

• The Constitutional Declaration and amendments thereto;
• Law No. (59) of 2012 AD on the local administration system and amendments thereto;
• General National Congress Decree No. (10) of 2012 AD on granting confidence in the interim government;
• Cabinet Decree No. (180) of 2013 AD on establishing municipalities and amendments thereto;
• The decrees of the Cabinet in its twenty-seventh ordinary meeting and its twenty-ninth ordinary meeting of 2013 AD;

has decreed:

Article (1)

Article (1) of Cabinet Decree No. (180) of 2013 AD on establishing municipalities shall be amended to read as follows:

Article (1)

The municipalities contained in the List annexed to the aforementioned Decree No. (180) of 2013 AD shall be re-established and renamed in accordance with the List annexed to this Decree, numbering ninety (90) municipalities, starting with Musaid Municipality and ending with Ghadames Municipality.

The Cabinet may establish other municipalities in accordance with the requirements of the nature of actual work.

Article (2)

This Decree shall enter into force on the date of its issue. The list annexed to the aforementioned Decree No. (180) of 2013 AD shall be repealed and any provision that conflicts with the list attached hereto shall be repealed. This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and implemented by the concerned bodies.
