Decree No. (538) of 1423 FBP

on restructuring the Great Jamahiriya’s Land and Maritime Border Committee

The General People’s Committee

Upon review of:

• Law No. (3) of 1423 FBP on people’s committees and the executive regulation thereof;
• General People’s Committee Decree No. (50) of 1990 on organising the Great Jamahiriya’s Border Committee, amended by General People’s Committee Decree No. (220) of 1990;
• General People’s Committee Decree No. (63) of 1990 on forming the Great Jamahiriya’s Land and Maritime Border Committee;
• The proposal of the Secretary of the General People’s Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation in its Memorandum No. (308) of 1423 FBP;

has decreed:

Article (1)

The Great Jamahiriya’s Land and Maritime Border Committee shall be restructured as follows:

1. Brother Ibrahim Abdel Aziz Omar, Director of the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs in the General People’s Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation, as Chairman
2. Engineer Ahmed Khalil Qurtaa, General People’s Committee for Agriculture and Animal Resources
3. Engineer Mohamed al-Saleh Wafa, Survey Department in the Secretariat of the General People’s Committee for Planning and Finance, as members
4. Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Ali Abdel Rahman al-Bousaifi, Interim General Committee for Defense
5. Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Salam Zaydan, General People’s Committee for Justice and National Security, as members
6. Brother Dr. Mansour Milad Younis, General People’s Committee for Education and Scientific Research
7. Brother Dr. Mohamed al-‘Awar / Al Fateh University, General People’s Committee for Education and Scientific Research

Article (2)

General People’s Committee Decree No. (63) of 1990 shall be repealed. Any provision contrary to the provisions of this decree shall be repealed.

Article (3)

This Decree shall enter into force from its date of issuance. It shall be published in the Official Gazette.
