Revolutionary Command Council Decree

on Restructuring the Ministry

In the Name of the People,

The Revolutionary Command Council,

·  Upon review of Constitutional Declaration No. (1) issued on 2 Shawwal

 1389, corresponding to 11 December 1969 AD,

·  The Revolutionary Command Council Decree issued on 16 Rajab 1390 AH,

 corresponding to 16 September 1970 AD, on the Reformation of the Ministry, as amended, and

·  Based on the submission of the Prime Minister,

has decreed the following:

Article (1)

The Ministry shall be restructured as follows:

1-   Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, as Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

2.  Major Abdul Salam Jalloud, Member of the Revolutionary Command Council, as Minister of Industry and Economy, and in charge of the duties of the Minister of Treasury.

3-   Major Abdul Monem Al Tahir Al-Huni, Member of the Revolutionary Command Council, as Minister of Interior.

4-   Mr. Saleh Masoud Buisir, as Minister of Information.

5-   Mr. Mohamed Al Jady, as Minister of Justice.

6-   Dr. Miftah al-Osta Omar, as Minister of Health.

7-   Mr. Abdul Ati Al Obaidi, as Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.

8-   Mr. Ezzeddine El Mabrouk, as Minister of Oil.

9-   Mr. Mohamed Ali Al Tabu, as Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Reform.

10. Eng. Muhammad Ahmad al-Mangoush, as Minister of Housing, and in charge of Utilities.

11-  Eng. Taha Al Sharif Ibn Amir, as Minister of Transport, and in charge of Electricity.

12-  Mr. Mostafa Al Yaqoubi, as Minister of Local Administration.

13- Mr. Mohamed Mostafa Al Mazaq, as Minister of Education and National Guidance.

Article (2)

This Decree shall enter into force as of the issuance date thereof and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
