The General People’s Committee for Justice and Public Security

Decree No. (277) of 1423 FBP

on the Conditions and Rules of Delegating Members of

the Police

 

The General People’s Committee for Justice and Public Security,
Upon review of:

  • Law No. (10) of 1992 AD on the Security

and Police, as amended; and

  • The minutes of the first meeting of the General People’s Committee for Justice and Public Security in

1423 FBP,

 

has decreed the following:

 

Article (1)

Members of the Police may be delegated, temporarily, to carry out a function on a full-time basis in the Police or any other administrative unit outside the same, subject to the following conditions: 

a. A minimum of one year has elapsed since the member’s first appointment; 

b. Work conditions at the original entity allows for such delegation; 

c. The member is not delegated to perform more than one function; and 

d. The delegation period may not exceed one year to be automatically renewable unless it is decided to not renew the same.

 

Article (2)

The delegation of police officers shall take effect by a decision of the Secretary of the General People’s Committee for Justice and Public Security. 

 

Article (3)

The delegation of non-commissioned officers and Police staff shall take effect by a decision of the Undersecretary for Security Affairs.

 

Article (4)

This Decree shall enter into force as of the date of its issuance and shall be implemented by the competent bodies and published in the official gazette.
