dissolving the Tourism and Antiquities Police
The Cabinet
- Upon review of the Constitutional Declaration and its amendments;
- The Law of the Financial System of the State and budget, accounts and warehouse regulation, and the amendments thereof;
- Law No. (12) of 2010 on issuing the public relations law and its executive regulation;
- Law No. (10) of 1992 on security and police;
- National Transitional Council Decree No. (184) of 2011 on approving the transitional government;
- Cabinet Decree No. (145) of 2012 approving the organisational structure and powers of the Ministry of the Interior and its executive unit;
- (Former) Basic People's Committee Decree (559) of 2007 establishing the Tourism and Antiquities Police;
- Letter of the Director of the Office of the Interior Minister No. (9146) of 17/09/2012;
- The minutes of the Cabinet's 37th ordinary session of 2012;
has decreed:
Article (1)
Cabinet Decree No. (141) of 2012 dissolving the Tourism and Antiquities Police shall be withdrawn. It shall be subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior and the Minister of the Interior shall take the necessary measures to ensure that the Tourism and Antiquities Police conducts its duties in accordance with the legislation in force.
Article (2)
This decree shall enter into force from its date of issuance, and any contrary provision shall be abolished. The concerned bodies shall execute it, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
