on the ratification of some international protocols
The General National Congress
Upon review of:
- The Interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011, and the amendments thereof;
- General National Congress Resolution No. (62) of 2013 on adopting the amendment of the rules of procedure of the General National Congress;
- Law No. (2) of 1990 on the ratification of some international agreements (Vienna Convention to Protect the Ozone Layer, Vienna 22/03/1985, The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, Montreal 17/09/1987, and the amendments thereof);
- Law No. (2) of 2001 on the organisation of political and consular work, and the executive regulation thereof;
- General National Congress Resolution No. (44) of 2013 on the matter of banning the signing of agreements;
- The conclusions of the General National Congress in its 126th ordinary session held on Sunday, 15/09/2013;
issued the following law:
Article (1)
The amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, as detailed below:
- The Montreal Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, 15/17/1997.
- Registration with the Secretariat of the U.N. on 10/11/1999 under No. (26369).

- The Beijing Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, 03/12/1999.
- Registration with the Secretariat of the U.N. on 10/11/1999 under No. (26369).
- UNEP/OzL.Pro.9/12, Annex IV of the Report of the Ninth Meeting of the Parties.
Article (2)
The provisions of this law shall enter into force from its date of issuance, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
