Minister of Justice Decree No. (202) of 2012

on the establishment of the Party Affairs Committee

The Minister of Justice

Upon review of:

  • The Constitutional Declaration;
  • Law No. (6) of 2006 on the judicial system;
  • Law No. (2) of 2012 on repealing the law on criminalisation of partisanship;
  • Law No. (3) of 2012 on the establishment of the High National Elections Commission;
  • Law No. (4) of 2012 on General National Congress elections;
  • Law No. (5) of 2010 amending Law No. (2) of 1993 concerning notaries;
  • Law No. (30) of 2012 on political entity regulations;
  • Law No. (29) of 2012 on the organization of political parties and the executive regulation thereof;

has decided:

Article (1)

A committee shall be formed of the following members:

  1. Counsellor Sherif Ali al-Azhari Chairman
  2. Counsellor Toufik Nasser al-Jarnazi Member
  3. Counsellor Ibrahim al-Ojeily Ashour Member
  4. Professor Nouri Abdullah Abdel Aati Member
  5. Professor Mohammed Muftah Hammouda Member and rapporteu

Article (2)

The committee shall perform its functions in accordance with the competences vested therein by Law No. (29) of 2012 on the organization of political parties and the executive regulation thereof.

Article (3)

This resolution shall enter into force from its date of issuance and shall be implemented by the concerned entities.
