Resolution No. (31) of 2013 AD

on adopting the advisory opinion of the

Legislative and Constitutional Committee of the General National Congress

The General National Congress,

Upon review of:

• The interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 03 August 2011 AD and amendments thereto;
• Law No. (4) of 2012 AD on electing the General National Congress and amendments thereto;
• The by-laws of the General National Congress;
• The conclusions of the General National Congress in its seventy-fifth ordinary meeting held on 26/03/2013 AD;

the following Decree is issued:

Article (1)

The advisory opinion of the Congress’ Legislative and Constitutional Committee with regard to its conclusion that political parties and entities do not have the right to replace any of the members of the General National Congress who hold seats allocated to such parties and entities, except in cases where the membership is invalidated as set out in the interim Constitutional Declaration or the by-laws of the General National Congress, shall be approved.

Article (2)

This Resolution shall enter into force on the date of its issue and shall be implemented by all concerned parties.
