Decree No. (248) of 2012
on prohibiting the entry of foreign security companies into Libya

Upon review of:
issued the following decree:
Article (1)
Foreign security companies shall be prohibited from entering Libya to practice their activities. Interacting therewith in any way shall be prohibited in order to maintain the security and stability of the country.
Article (2)
The Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defence and other state authorities, each within its competency, shall take the necessary procedures and measures to implement this decree.
Article (3)
This decree shall enter into effect from its date of issuance. Any provision contrary to the provisions thereof shall be repealed and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.

مادة (1)
يحظر دخول الشركات الأمنية الأجنبية إلى ليبيا لمزاولة أنشطتها، ويحظر التعامل معها بأي وجه، وذلك حفاظاً على أمن واستقرار البلاد.
مادة (2)
على وزارتي الداخلية والدفاع وأجهزة الدولة الأخرى - كلا فيما يخصه - اتخاذ الإجراءات والترتيبات اللازمة لوضع هذا القرار موضع التنفيذ.
مادة (3)
يعمل بهذا القرار من تاريخ صدوره، ويلغى كل حكم يخالف أحكامه، وينشر في الجريدة الرسمية.
