On the Establishment of a Committee for Setting the Rules and Mechanisms for the Implementation

of Law No. (35) of 2012 on General Amnesty

The Minister of Justice

Upon review of:

• The Constitutional Declaration and the amendments thereof;
• Law No. (6) of 2006 on the Judicial System and the amendments thereof;
• Law No. (12) of 2010 issuing the Labour Relations Law, and the executive regulation thereof;
• General National Congress (GNC) Resolution No. (10) of 2012 on granting a vote of confidence to the interim government;
• The Cabinet Decision No. (50) of 2012 on approving the organizational structure and competences of the Ministry of Justice and organizing the executive unit thereof;
• And upon agreement with the Public Prosecutor and the Minister of Interior;

has decided:

Article (1)

A committee shall be composed of the following:

1. Deputy Minister of Justice for Judicial Police Affairs
2. Deputy Minister of Interior for Security Affairs
3. Public Prosecution representative nominated by the Public Prosecutor
4. High Security Committee representative nominated by the Minister of Interior

Article (2)

The committee established in accordance with Article (1) shall exercise the following functions:

1. Set up an implementation mechanism for Law No. (35) of 2012 on General Amnesty issued by the Interim National Transitional Council;
2. Determine the parties included by amnesty;
3. Submit its activity results and recommendations to the Minister of justice within two weeks from the date of this decision.

Article (3)

This decision shall enter into force from its date of issuance, and shall be implemented by the concerned entities.
