Decree No. (18) of 1370 FDP (2002 AD)

adopting certain provisions concerning the competencies of public agencies of

the General Provisional Committee for Defence

The General People’s Committee:

Upon review of:

• The Commercial Code;
• Law No. (1) of 1396 FDP on on the People’s Congresses and the People’s Committees, and the implementing regulations thereof;
• The General People’s Committee decrees establishing the agencies of the General Provisional Committee for Defence;
• The resolutions issued in the second ordinary meeting of the General People’s Committee of 1369 FDP held on 1/10/1369 FDP;
• General Provisional Committee for Defence Letter No. (1065);
• The resolutions issued in the seventh ordinary meeting of the Secretariat of the General People’s Committee held on 25-27/2/1370 FDP;

has decreed:

Article (1)

The competencies of the agencies of the General Provisional Committee for Defence, mentioned in the list appended hereto, shall be defined as building and selling housing, without renting such. These authorities shall be prohibited from engaging in any other activity.

The provisions found in the decrees establishing the aforementioned authorities granting them competencies other than building and selling housing shall be deemed to be repealed.

Article (2)

This Decree shall come into force on the date of its issue and shall be published in the Procedures Register. Any provision that conflicts with this Decree shall be repealed.
