establishing local people’s security centers

The Secretary of the General People’s Committee for Justice and Public Security:

Upon review of:

  • Law No. (1) of 1369 FDP on the People’s Congresses and the People’s Committees and the implementing regulations thereof;
  • Law No. (10) of 1992 AD issuing the Law on security and the police and the implementing regulations thereof;
  • General People’s Congress Secretariat Decree No. (193) of 1370 FDP establishing the Basic People’s Congresses;
  • Secretary of the General People’s Committee for Justice and Public Security in the district of Misrata Letter No. (108) dated 14/1/1371 FDP (2003 AD);
  • Based on the submission of the Undersecretary for Security Affairs:

has decreed:

Article (1)

Local people’s security centers shall be established in the following Basic People’s Congresses in the district of Misrata:

  1. Basic People’s Congress in Shuhada al-Ramila
  2. Basic People’s Congress in Ras al-Toba
  3. Basic People’s Congress in Zat al-Remal
  4. Basic People’s Congress in 9th of July

Article (2)

The territorial area of jurisdiction of the centers shall be defined as the administrative limits of the Basic People’s Congresses stated in Article (1) hereof.

Article (3)

The competent bodies shall implement this Decree, and it shall enter into force on the date of its issue and be published in the Procedures Register.
