of General National Congress Resolution No. (27) of 2013

The Cabinet

Upon review of:

  • The Constitutional Declaration, and the amendments thereof;
  • The Law of the Financial System of the State, and budget, accounts, and inventory regulation, and the amendments thereof;
  • Law No. (12) of 2010 issuing the Labour Relations Law, and its executive regulation;
  • General National Congress Resolution No. (10) of 2012 on granting confidence to the interim government.
  • General National Congress Resolution No. (27) of 2013 on evacuating Tripoli of illegal armed demonstrations;
  • Director of the National ID Number Project and complementary projects Letter No. (253) dated 3 April 2013;
  • Secretary for Cabinet Affairs Letter No. (2876) dated 3 July 2013;
  • The decision of the Cabinet in its 19th ordinary session of 2013;

has decreed:

Article (1)

A committee shall be formed as follows:

  1. Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, as president.
  2. Minister of Youth and Sports, as coordinator.
  3. Minister of Justice, as member.
  4. Minister of Transportation, as member.
  5. Minister of Water Resources, as member.
  6. Minister of Work and Rehabilitation, as member.

Article (2)

The committee formed under the provisions of Article (1) of this decree shall establish a mechanism to implement General National Congress Resolution No. (27) of 2013 on evacuating Tripoli of illegal armed formations and taking the necessary measures to lift the siege of the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior on the Airport Road in Tripoli. It shall also form a committee to receive the headquarters from the besiegers and work to release those who were detained during the siege.

Article (3)

The committee may make use of anyone with military expertise that it deems fit to perform its activities. It shall submit a report of the results of its activities to the Prime Minister within a period not exceeding two weeks from the issuance of this decree.

Article (4)

This decree shall enter into force from its date of issuance, and the relevant bodies shall implement it.
