Decree No. (630) of 1977 on establishing branches of the Anti-Smuggling Prosecution

Upon review of:

· Justice System Law No. (51) of 1976 AD;

· Law No. (97) of 1976 AD on combating the smuggling of goods outside customs departments;

· After the approval of the Secretary of the Interior and Treasury;

has decreed:

Article (1)

Branches of the Anti-Smuggling Prosecution shall be established at the following locations:

1. Tripoli, with its headquarters in the city of Tripoli and area of jurisdiction that of the Tripoli Court of First Instance.

2. Benghazi, with its headquarters in the city of Benghazi and area of jurisdiction that of the Benghazi Court of First Instance.

3. Sebha, with its headquarters in the city of Sebha and area of jurisdiction that of the Sebha Court of First Instance.

4. Al-Khalij, with its headquarters in the city of Ajdabiya and area of jurisdiction that of the Al-Khalij Court of First Instance.

5. Tobruk, with its headquarters in the city of Tobruk and area of jurisdiction [that of] the Tobruk Summary Court and the Musaid Remote Court

6. Al-Kufra, with its headquarters in the city of Al-Kufra and area of jurisdiction that of the Al-Kufra Remote Court.

Article (2)

The competent bodies shall implement this Decree, and it shall enter into force on the date of its issue and be published in the Official Gazette.
