on tasking the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defence

to implement arrest orders issued for those involved in robbing

funds transferred to the Sirte branch of the Central Bank

The General National Congress,

Upon review of:

• The interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 03 August 2011 AD and amendments thereto;
• General National Congress Decision No. (62) of 2013 AD on approving the amendment of the by-laws of the General National Congress and amendments thereto;
• The resolutions of the General National Congress in its one hundred forty-eigth ordinary meeting held on Tuesday, 10 December 2013 AD;

issued the following Resolution:

Article (1)

The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defence shall be charged with enforcing the arrest orders issued for those involved in the robbery of funds being transferred from the Tripoli Central Bank to the Bank’s branch in Sirte, and shall provide all help and assistance requested by the prosecutor general and his authorised deputies to investigate such, within a period of not more than a week.

The Ministries shall have all the authorities necessary to implement this Resolution, including the use of force when necessary.

Article (2)

The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defence shall be assigned to work to recover the funds stolen in the incident set out in Article (1) and to use all legal means available in doing so.

Article (3)

This Resolution shall enter into force on the date of its issue and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
