General National Congress Resolution No. (29) of 2013

concerning the withdrawal of General National Congress Resolution No. (24) of 2013 on the establishment of a committee for drafting the election law of the Constitutional Drafting Assembly entrusted with drafting the permanent constitution of the country

Upon review of:

• The Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011 and the amendments thereof;
• Law No. (8) of 2013 on the establishment of the High National Elections Commission;
• The rules of procedure of the General National Congress;
• The General National Congress resolution No. (24) of 2013 on the establishment of a committee for drafting the election law of the Constitutional Drafting Assembly entrusted with drafting the permanent constitution of the country;
• The judgment rendered by the Supreme Court constitutional circuit on 26/02/2013;
• The results of the seventy-ninth ordinary session of the General National Congress held on 09/04//2013;

The following law has been issued:

Article (1)

The aforementioned Resolution No. (24) of 2013 of the General National Congress (GNC) shall be withdrawn and disregarded.

Article (2)

This resolution shall enter into force from its date of issuance. It shall be implemented by all parties, each within their mandate, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
