on setting a date to vote for a new prime minister of the interim government

The General National Congress

Upon review of:

• The Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011, and the amendments thereof;
• The rules of procedure of the General National Congress;
• The General National Congress Resolution No. (23) of 2014 on withdrawing confidence from the prime minister of the interim government;
• The voting results of the General National Congress during its 185^th session held on Sunday 27 Jumada al-Akhera 1435 AH corresponding to 27/04/2014 AD;

issued the following resolution :

Article (1)

The General National Congress (GNC) has scheduled the voting for a new prime minister of the interim government for Tuesday 29/04/2014. The new prime minister shall be selected among the seven candidates who presented their programs to the GNC on 20 Jumada al-Thani 1435 AH corresponding to 20/04/2014 AD in accordance with the relevant provisions of the rules of procedure.

Article (2)

The provisions of this resolution shall enter into force from its date of issuance. The present resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and the available media outlets, repealing any contrary provision.
