Resolution No. (9) of 2012

on the appointment of the prime minister

and entrusting him to form the interim government

The General National Congress:

Upon review of:

• The interim Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011 and its amendments;
• The bylaws of the General National Congress;
• And the General National Congress’s conclusions during its session of 14/10/2012;

issued the following resolution:

Article (1)

Mr Ali Zeidan Mohammed shall be appointed as prime minister for the interim government and is assigned to form it and submit it to the General National Congress (GNC) with a brief statement about its government plan within the deadline specified in Part (7), Chapter (1) of the bylaws of the GNC.

Article (2)

The provisions of this resolution shall enter into force from 14 October 2012. Each party shall implement it with their mandate. It shall be published in the Official Gazette.
