on repealing a provision of Law No. (6) of 2012

The National Transitional Council

Upon review of:

• The Victory Declaration of the 17 February Revolution issued on 22 February 2011;
• The Constitutional Declaration issued on 3 August 2011;
• The rules of procedure of the National Transitional Council;
• Law No. (1) of 2005 on banks;
• Law No. (6) of 2012 on withdrawing a currency denomination from circulation;
• The proposal of the Minister of Finance;
• The proposal of the Financial Advisory Committee of the Interim National Transitional Council;
• The outcome of the session of the National Transitional Council held on Wednesday, 07/02/2012;

issued the following law:

Article (1)

Article (1), Paragraph (2) of Law No. (6) of 2012 on withdrawing the currency note of LYD 20 (twenty) from circulation shall be repealed.

Article (2)

This law shall enter into force from its date of issuance, any contrary provision shall be repealed, and each party concerned shall implement this law within their mandate. The transitional government and local council shall be notified thereof, and it shall be published in the media.
